Privacy Policy

The short version. We collect your email address when you ask for the free guide, and the details needed to process a purchase. We use them to deliver what you asked for and to send occasional emails you can unsubscribe from at any time. We never sell your information, and our emails keep the topic out of subject lines.

Who we are

The Missing Manual is a course and website operated by Good Intimacy LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("we," "us"). This policy covers themissingmanualformen.com and the course platform at courses.themissingmanualformen.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. Your email address when you request the free guide. When you buy the course, your name, email, and billing details are collected by our course platform and its payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
Course activity. Our course platform records things like your login and which lessons you've completed, so it can save your progress.
Emails you send us. If you reply to our emails or contact us, we keep that correspondence.
Automatic information. Like most websites, we and our providers collect basic technical data (browser type, device, pages viewed, referring link, approximate location from IP address) through cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel described below.

We do not ask for health, medical, or diagnostic information, and you don't need to share any to use the course.

How we use it

To send the free guide and deliver the course you bought.
To send emails about the course, new units, and related offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To process payments and refunds, and to answer your questions.
To understand which pages and ads are working, so we can improve them.
To prevent fraud and spam, and to meet legal obligations.

Cookies and the Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, to measure whether our ads lead to sign-ups and purchases and to show our ads to people likely to find them useful. The pixel records events such as viewing a page, requesting the guide, and starting checkout. Meta may combine this with other information it holds under its own policies. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser.

Our sign-up forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. Its use is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Who we share it with

We share information only with providers that help us run the course, and only as needed for them to do that work:

Kajabi, our course, email, and checkout platform, and its payment processors.
Meta, for ad measurement, as described above.
Google, for reCAPTCHA spam protection.
Vercel, which hosts this website.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Discretion

Charges appear under our parent company name, The Capable Self. Our email subject lines do not mention the topic of the course.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you're subscribed or have course access, and as long as needed afterward for records, tax, and legal purposes. Ask us and we'll delete what we're not required to keep.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
Access, correct, or delete your information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we will honor requests as those laws require.

Age

This site and the course are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

We rely on established providers that use industry-standard security. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
